Intellectual Property Policy

Intellectual property policy

1957 Express respects the intellectual property of others and expects our suppliers to do the same.

Our position

We sell unbranded and own-brand goods sourced from manufacturers. We do not knowingly list counterfeit goods, replicas of branded products, or items that infringe a trademark, copyright, design right or patent.

Where a product is described as compatible with another manufacturer's device, that describes compatibility only. It does not imply the product is made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with that manufacturer.

Reporting an infringement

If you are a rights holder, or their authorised agent, and believe a listing on this site infringes your rights, contact us through the Contact page with the subject line IP Infringement and include:

  • Your name, organisation and contact details
  • The right you own and evidence of ownership — registration number, or proof of authorship
  • The specific product URL or URLs complained of
  • An explanation of how the listing infringes
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised
  • A statement that the information you have given is accurate

What we do next

We acknowledge every report and aim to review within 5 business days. Where a complaint is well founded we remove the listing promptly and take it up with the supplier. Repeat infringement ends the supplier relationship.

Our own brand

The 1957 Express name, logo and site content belong to us. Please do not use them without written permission — particularly to represent yourself as us.
