1. Who we are
This website is operated by 1957 Express ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the other policies referenced in them, including our Return & Refund Policy and Shipping & Delivery information.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence, to place an order. By ordering you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Products, descriptions and images
We source goods from third-party suppliers. We take reasonable care to describe products accurately, but colours may appear differently on different screens, and minor variations in dimensions, packaging or finish can occur between production batches.
Where a product is described as compatible with another manufacturer's device, this describes compatibility only. It does not imply that the product is made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with that manufacturer.
We do not knowingly sell counterfeit goods. See our Intellectual Property Policy.
4. Electrical products
Ghana operates on 230V mains supply using UK-style three-pin (Type G) sockets. Where a product ships with a different plug type or voltage rating, we state this on the product page. It is your responsibility to check compatibility before ordering and to use an appropriate adapter or transformer where required.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery is charged separately at checkout.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
Payment is taken at the time of order. Accepted payment methods are listed on our Payment Options page. We never request payment outside our checkout, and we will never ask for your PIN, password or one-time code.
6. Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges receipt but does not constitute acceptance. A contract is formed only when we dispatch your order.
We may decline or cancel an order where the product is unavailable, where we suspect fraud, where a pricing or description error has occurred, or where we cannot deliver to the address given. If we cancel after payment, you receive a full refund.
7. Delivery
We currently deliver within Ghana only. Delivery timeframes given on this site are estimates, not guarantees. Goods are shipped internationally and transit times can be affected by customs clearance, carrier delays and other factors outside our control.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout; once an order has been dispatched internationally we are usually unable to redirect it.
8. Returns and refunds
Your rights to return goods and receive refunds are set out in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory right you have under the laws of Ghana that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Your account
If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or close accounts used for fraudulent or abusive activity.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to break any law, to infringe anyone's rights, to transmit malicious code, to scrape or harvest data, to interfere with the operation of the site, or to impersonate any person or organisation.
11. Our content
The 1957 Express name, logo, site design, text and layout are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission. Product images may be supplied by manufacturers and remain their property.
12. Third-party links and services
This site may link to third-party websites and uses third-party services for payment and delivery. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs action, power failure, natural events, industrial action, or restrictions imposed by government.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the moment you place your order. Please review it before ordering.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
